A 19-year-old New Braunfels man was airlifted to University Hospital in San Antonio following a motorcycle accident Wednesday afternoon, according to police.
The crash occurred at 12:30 p.m. in the 1000 block of S. Walnut Avenue when the motorcyclist was forced off the road by the driver of a pickup truck. The driver attempted to merge onto the road in front of the motorcyclist, but misjudged his speed. When the 19-year-old swerved to avoid the truck, he hit the curb and was thrown from the bike.
Emergency medical workers airlifted the man to University Hospital, and he is expected to make a full recovery.

According to police, a motorcyclist who was struck by a van on Sunday is in stable condition.
The motorcycle accident occurred around 12:30 a.m. Sunday at the intersection of San Pedro and Thames. As the motorcyclist drove south on San Pedro, he was struck by the teenage driver of the van, who was turning left from the northbound lane.
The motorcyclist suffered serious injuries and was rushed to the Intensive Care Unit of a nearby hospital, while the driver of the van did not incur any injuries.
Police cited the teenage driver for failing to yield the right of way.

A motorcyclist and driver were injured in an accident Thursday. According to police reports, the accident occurred in San Antonio on the Northwest Side.
The motorcycle allegedly slammed into the back of the car. The accident caused both the motorcycle rider and passenger to fall off. When medical officials arrived, both were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment.

A fight broke out early Sunday morning outside a bar near the intersection of Valley High Drive and Springvale Drive. After the fight, a man left on his motorcycle but lost control of the bike and crashed.
Police officials said the fight ended when gunshots were fired into the air, but they did not know if they man in the motorcycle accident was involved in the fight.

A 37-year-old man was killed in a motorcycle collision in San Antonio Sunday night.
Jose Sanchez was traveling north on Moursund Blvd. around midnight when his motorcycle hit a minivan stopped at a stop sign at Buchanan Blvd.
Police reports indicate that Sanchez was speeding and may have been under the influence of alcohol. While no one in the van was injured, Sanchez died at the scene of the accident.
