When is your child too old for a car seat?

Posted on November 6th, 2009 No Comments

Children do not necessarily become too old for car seat, but they become too big for them. For instance, a two- and four-year-old who are the same size may both require the use of a car seat.

Car seats are designed for small children to keep them safe in ways that seat belts cannot. However, recent studies suggest that many parents keep their children in car seats for too long.

In some cases, children as young as two years old may be as safe in a seat belt as a car seat.

If your child has suffered an injury because of a defective car seat, contact the San Antonio personal injury lawyers of Stouwie & Mayo at 210-999-9999.
