Posted on October 23rd, 2013 No Comments

A man taken via helicopter to a San Antonio, Texas hospital last week due to injuries he sustained after becoming involved in an auto accident was last declared as being in critical condition. The victim, identified as 59-year-old Jaime Turner by Laredo Police Department spokesman and investigator Joe Baeza, was placed in the San Antonio Medical Center’s intensive care unit.

According to police, Turner was walking near McPherson Road and East Ryan Street at around 10:47 a.m. on Friday, October 18 when a green 1999 Ford pickup suddenly hit him.

Police have yet to determine whether Turner, who was found bleeding heavily due to head and face wounds, was attempting to cross the street or just simply walking by its side.

Eighty-seven-year-old Mary Poppins and Dick Van Dyke Show star Dick Van Dyke suffered an accident when his car caught fire along the 101 freeway near Los Angeles.

A man pulled Van Dyke from the vehicle. The actor was found slumped over his vehicle’s steering wheel.

Two hours after the fire was put out, it was still sitting on the freeway waiting for a tow truck to haul it away.
