North Laredo motorcycle accident kills 1

A 20-year-old North Laredo man has died after the motorcycle he was operating crashed into a fence.

The fatal motorcycle accident took place last Thursday around 3:00 a.m., when the motorcyclist was traveling near the intersection of Michigan and Hilltop. The man was unable to control his bike, and collided with a fence. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, but still received numerous life-threatening injuries.

Emergency personnel attempted to airlift the man to a San Antonio hospital, but intense fog delayed the trip. The motorcyclist succumbed to his injuries shortly after the accident. An investigation is underway.

Man killed on motorcycle by SUV

Armando Aleman, 59, was hit and killed on Friday while riding his motorcycle on North Austin Street in Seguin.

Ira Miears, 93, was driving an SUV north on North Austin Street when he swerved out of the way of two cars turning left.  In an attempt to avoid hitting the two cars, Miears crossed into oncoming traffic and hit Aleman head-on.  Aleman was flown from New Braunfels Municipal Airport to San Antonio Military Medical Center, and died in flight.

Miears was cited for failing to stop, but according to Seth Burgoon of the Seguin Police, “We’re guess-timating that he was not speeding.”

Motorcyclist killed in hit-and-run

Robert Carter, 49, was identified as the motorcyclist killed in an ongoing investigation of a hit-and-run accident that occurred on Sunday morning near Loop 410 and McCullough.  Police said that Carter was struck from behind sending him 300 feet.  The car drove away, and then, tragically, a second car ran over Carter.  Police arrested the driver of the second vehicle charging them with driving under the influence.  Authorities have still not found the driver of the first car, but have stated that once found, he or she will be charged with failure to stop and render at aid at the scene of a crime.

Man Killed in San Antonio Motorcycle Accident

A man was killed in a San Antonio motorcycle accident Saturday night.

According to officials with the San Antonio Police Department, 41 year-old Vikk Villarreal died in a motorcycle crash involving a horse trailer in western Bexar County. Police say the accident occurred just after 10:00 p.m. Saturday near the intersection of Potranco Road and Sundance Crest.

According to the accident report, Villarreal was attempting to make a U-turn when his bike was struck by the horse trailer. Villarreal was reportedly trying to turn around to get back to one of his riding partners, who had broken down.

Villarreal was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. HE was pronounced dead at the scene by officials with the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office.

Villarreal was the president of the Sentinels Motorcycle Club in San Antonio. The family oriented club was often involved in fundraisers and charitable events.

Man Killed in San Antonio Motorcycle Accident

A man was killed in a San Antonio motorcycle accident Saturday night.

According to officials with the Bexar County medical examiner’s office, 26 year-old Joe Graham suffered severe head trauma when his motorcycle collided with a Subaru in the 1400 block of Nacogdoches Road shortly before 10:00 p.m. Friday. He was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

According to a San Antonio Police Department accident report, Graham was speeding and weaving in and out of traffic just prior to the accident. The Subaru’s driver reportedly didn’t see Graham and turned into the path of his motorcycle. Graham was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.

Kerrville man killed in motorcycle accident

According to authorities, a Kerrville man died Monday in a San Antonio hospital following serious injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident on Texas 27 in Kerr County.

Police say that the 58-year-old man was headed westbound on his motorcycle when collided with an oncoming pickup that turned in front of him around 8 AM Monday.

The crash is still under investigation by the Ingram city marshal and no charges have yet been filed.

19-year-old suffers injury in motorcyle accident

A 19-year-old New Braunfels man was airlifted to University Hospital in San Antonio following a motorcycle accident Wednesday afternoon, according to police.

The crash occurred at 12:30 p.m. in the 1000 block of S. Walnut Avenue when the motorcyclist was forced off the road by the driver of a pickup truck. The driver attempted to merge onto the road in front of the motorcyclist, but misjudged his speed. When the 19-year-old swerved to avoid the truck, he hit the curb and was thrown from the bike.

Emergency medical workers airlifted the man to University Hospital, and he is expected to make a full recovery.

Motorcycle-van collision results in injury

According to police, a motorcyclist who was struck by a van on Sunday is in stable condition.

The motorcycle accident occurred around 12:30 a.m. Sunday at the intersection of San Pedro and Thames. As the motorcyclist drove south on San Pedro, he was struck by the teenage driver of the van, who was turning left from the northbound lane.

The motorcyclist suffered serious injuries and was rushed to the Intensive Care Unit of a nearby hospital, while the driver of the van did not incur any injuries.

Police cited the teenage driver for failing to yield the right of way.

Two injured in motorcycle accident in San Antonio

A motorcyclist and driver were injured in an accident Thursday. According to police reports, the accident occurred in San Antonio on the Northwest Side.

The motorcycle allegedly slammed into the back of the car. The accident caused both the motorcycle rider and passenger to fall off. When medical officials arrived, both were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment.
