On early Thursday morning, one person was killed and another injured in a car collision on Highway 90 at 36th Street.
The suspect was driving a car that rear-ended an SUV with two passengers. The SUV flipped three times after crashing through a guardrail and falling down an embankment. Police believe the suspect was drunk and waited at the scene for several minutes until he drove off.
Police arrested the man on Highway 151 between Callaghan and Military Drive, and charged him with intoxication manslaughter and intoxication assault.
One of the passengers died, and the other was rushed to a nearby hospital.
