New law for child safety in cars goes into effect

Posted on June 3rd, 2010 No Comments

A new state law for child safety in cars went into effect June 1. According to the law, all children younger than eight or shorter than 4’9″ must be secured in a safety seat or booster seat.

For parents who violate the law, they could face a fine of $250. The law was intended to improve child safety in vehicles, which are equipped with seat belts better suited for adults.

If your child has been injured in a car accident, contact the San Antonio car accident attorneys of Chris Mayo Injury Lawyers at (210) 999-9999.
